Therapist Intern

Stephen Krause is a Master of Social Work intern at MedPsych Associates in Ramsey, New Jersey. He earned his BSW from Ramapo College and is pursuing his MSW as a part of the advanced standing program at Ramapo College.

Stephen specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with substance use disorders, grief and loss, ambivalence towards change, major life transitions, stress, anxiety, anger issues, and depression. He has experience with individual and group counseling in substance use treatment programs, including partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.

Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, Stephen partners with clients to set treatment goals, process emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards living more fulfilling lives. He provides an open, non-judgmental environment for clients to explore challenges at their own pace. Stephen is dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and implement positive change.
